Rose Falooda Recipe - Summer Special Recipes



Falooda is my favorite icecream to order whenever we dine out. I always wanted to post that recipe here in this blog. It is not the traditional falooda recipe. It is a version of the falooda, it is called as rose falooda. 


I have already shared a falooda recipe in this blog..I have one more recipe for falooda to share, which i call as royal falooda and it is on my top favorite list..


This falooda is pretty simple to make and it has a base as rose syrup and rose milk and it is so delicious and very refreshing on this hot days..

Preparation Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 5 mins
Serves - 2

Ingredients:

For Rose Syrup:

Sugar - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Rose Milk Essence - few drops

For Vermicelli:

Vermicelli - a handful
Water as needed

For Rosemilk:

Milk - 2 cups
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Sweetened Condensed Milk - 1/4 cup
Rose Syrup as needed

For Assembling:

Icecreams - any of your choice( Strawberry, Vanilla)
Sabja Seeds - 2 tblspn
Water - 1/2 cup or more

Method:

Cook the vermicelli, boil vermicelli in water till they are done. Now drain it and wash it under cold water. Set that aside till use.

Make rose syrup, take sugar and water in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Simmer for 1 min, take it off the heat and add in few drops of rosemilk essence. MIx well and set aside.

Make the rose milk, boil 2 cups of milk with sugar and condensed milk till it is reduced by half, Take it off the stove and add in rose syrup. Mix well. Set this in fridge till use.

Take sabja seeds in a bowl and add in water. Mix well and set aside for 5 mins.

Now time to assemble, Take a tall glass, add little rose milk syrup inthe bottom of the glass, Add in vermicelli and sabja seeds. add some rosemilk, Add scoops of vanilla icecreams. Top off with cashews and cherries.Serve immediately.

Take all your ingredients


Lets cook vermicelli


add it to a pan of water


bring it to a boil and cook for 3 to 4 mins


now it is done


strain it and wash it with cold water


drain and set aside
now lets make the rose syrup, take sugar in a bowl


add water


bring it to a boil and simmer untill sugar is melted. it will take a min


add few drops of rose milk essence


done


pour it in a bowl


set aside to cool it down
take milk in a sauce pan


add little condensed milk


add sugar


boil till it thickens


now add in little rose syrup


rose milk done


pour it in a jug and put it in fridge


take sabja seeds in a bowl


add cold water


mix well and let it sit for 5 to 10 mins


now lets assemble


take a pretty glass


Pour some rose syrup in the bottom


spoon some cooked vermicelli


top with some sabja seeds


pour in chilled rose milk





now scoop your vanilla icecream


top it


serve immediately


You can drizzle some rose syrup on top or decorate with nuts

    Now for the doubt , can I use rose milk powder in place of rosemilk essence. And also is rosemilk essence is avl in supermarkets?? And what are sabja seeds??

    I must add that it's undoubtedly a thirst quenching drink for the hot summer days of Chennai

  3. @pallavi Vivekyou can use rose milk powder. And sabja seed is called as falooda seeds. you can get it online
