    Cabbage Chana Sabzi Recipe with step by step pictures. Chana cabbage sabzi recipe made with cabbage and chana. This goes well with rice and roti.

    Cabbage Chana Sabzi Recipe

    This is one of the easiest side dish that you can serve with rice or roti in my opinion. I made it last weekend and took it to our aunt’s house to have lunch together. Everyone there loved this a lot. The recipe which you see in the picture is double the quantity, since I made for both of our family.But the recipe which I given in the recipe is perfect for 4-5 people.

    Ingredients for Cabbage Chana Sabzi Recipe

    • Cabbage – 3 cups shredded
    • Chickpeas / Channa / Konda kadalai-1 cup cooked
    • Chilli powder-1 tsp
    • Coriander powder / Malli Podi-1 tbsp
    • Garam Masala Powder-1 tsp
    • Cumin seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil-1 tbsp

    How to Make Cabbage Chana Sabzi Recipe

    1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add in cumin seeds and allow it to crackle.
    2. Add in cabbage and sauté for 5 mins.Add in salt, chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix well.
    3. Add in channa and pour ½ cup of water in and cover the pan with a lid.
    4. let this simmer for 20-25 mins or until everything is cooked.
    5. Serve hot with rice or roti.
