    Chicken Capsicum Curry Recipe

Capsicum is a genus of flowering plants in the nightshade family Solanaceae that are native to the Americas and are cultivated around the world for their chilli pepper or bell pepper fruit. Capsicum peppers were introduced to Asia by Portuguese and
Spanish explorers via trade routes from South America in the sixteenth century. The primary capsicum growing regions in India are Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and the Deccan Plateau, which stretches across the southern and central parts of the country. Some areas, such as Pune, Bangalore, and Karnataka, cultivate the fruits year round in greenhouses.

    About this Recipe

It's been a while since i shared any chicken gravy recipe. This is the dish which i made for the get together and everyone loved it. They started asking me for the recipe. This is an easy recipe to make, you don't need much work at all. All the flavour for this comes from the bell peppers. I used green bell peppers and it added a nice flavour and aroma to this dish. The curry also was very creamy because we ground those.

What is difference between bell pepper and capsicum?

The only distinction between bell peppers and capsicum is the
presence of capsaicin, a lipophilic chemical that causes a burning
sensation in the mouth. This chemical is not found in bell peppers..

    Ingredients For Capsicum Chicken Curry

    Capsicum :
Because of their higher sugar content, red capsicums are the sweetest and highest in vitamin C and beta carotene. Orange and yellow capsicums contain nearly as much sugar as red capsicums, whereas green capsicums have a low sugar content due to early picking, which gives them a slightly bitter taste.

    Chilli Powder  :
Chili powder is a spice blend, and recipes differ from cook to cook and company to company. Chili powders typically contain cayenne pepper, paprika, cumin, oregano, and garlic. It enhances the flavour and heat of recipes.

    Fennel seeds :
Fennel seeds are the dried seeds of the fennel herb, and they resemble cumin seeds but are greener. They taste aniseed and have a warm, sweet aroma. They can be used alone or in spice blends like Chinese five-spice powder and Indian panch phoran.

I think that you are conflating chilli powder with curry powder or garam marsala. Chilli powder is just ground chilli whereas curry powder is a mixture of various spice powders as you describe.
