How to Make Coriander Powder at Home

Ever since i got my hamilton beach blender, i have been making spice powders at home. I am never ever buying store bought spices again. I made my own batch of chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin and pepper powder at home in my blender and i am loving it. Will soon share a review of my blender.

Making coriander powder from fresh coriander seeds is not at all a big deal. Some people sun dry coriander seeds before grinding. But i tend to roast it so the oils from the seeds can come out which makes it smell wonderful.

We grew Cilantro plants and let them go to seed for Coriander seeds. I've harvested the seeds, but they are mostly green. Can I dry roast those, or can I only use them when they naturally turn brown?

You have to dry the coriander seeds under sun until it is completely dry. Then you can roast them in a dry pan.
