    Drumstick Stew Recipe with step by step pictures. This is made with Coconut Milk and Drumstick. You can serve with Aapam and Idiyappam.

    Drumstick Coconut Milk Stew

    This is possibly one of the easiest curry you can imagine to serve with appam or idyappam..It is stew and it is made with just a handful of ingredients. Love the rich flavours going through this..Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.

    How to Make Drumstick Stew

    1. Mix coconut milk with rice flour and set aside.
    2. Take drumstick, water and little salt in a sauce pan, bring it to boil, simmer till the drumstick is cooked. Set aside.
    3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add in ginger, garlic, and saute for a min.
    4. Add in onions, chillies and saute with some salt till the onions turn soft.
    5. Now add in the drumstick along with the water and mix well. Add in the coconut milk mix and mix well.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 tablespoon Oil
    • 1 tablespoon Ginger sliced thinly
    • 4 cloves Garlic sliced thinly
    • 1 medium Onions sliced thinly
    • 3to 4 Green Chillies sliced thinly
    • 1 Drumstick chopped
    • 1 cup Thick Coconut Milk
    • 1 teaspoon Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu
    • Salt to taste
    • Water as needed

    Instructions
     

    • Mix coconut milk with rice flour and set aside.
    • Take drumstick, water and little salt in a sauce pan, bring it to boil, simmer till the drumstick is cooked. Set aside.
    • Heat oil in a kadai. Add in ginger, garlic, and saute for a min.
    • Add in onions, chillies and saute with some salt till the onions turn soft.
    • Now add in the drumstick along with the water and mix well. Add in the coconut milk mix and mix well.
    • Bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat.
    • Serve with appam, rice, idiyappam..

    Drumstick Coconut Milk Stew  step by step pictures

     
    Take all your ingredients
    Start by cooking drumsticks
    add water to them
    season with little salt
    cook till the drumsticks are tender
    take coconut milk in a bowl
    add in little rice flour
    mix well and set aside
    heat little oil in a pan
    add in ginger and garlic
    saute for a min
    add in onions and green chillies
    sprinkle little salt
    saute them
    they will cook down a lot
    now add in the cooked drumsticks along with any water
     
    mix well
    pour in the coconut milk mix
    mix well
    bring them to a boil
    once it boils, turn off the heat
    It will be thickened now
