I have already made a buttery puff pastry sheet recipe here in this blog, but that has loads of butter in them and made with maida and also it takes lots of time to finish. I made a spicy veg puffs using that and it is a perfect recipe..Many of you have tried it and told me that it turned out good too..

But i wanted to try a whole wheat version and also use oil instead of butter. Oneday i was thinking so deeply about this and a wonderful idea struck my mind. I put that idea on action one evening and it turned out quite good actually. I made a spicy egg filling and stuffed it inside the sheets and baked it..Loved it to the core..

It may not be so flaky and buttery, but it almost had lots of layers in them and was like a shortcrust pastry without the butter. Try this out and let me know how it turns out for you..
