    Eggless Oatmeal Raisan Cookies Recipe

    Whenever you look for cookies out there on internet, this cookies will pop out sure..It is quite a popular cookie recipe. The combination of oatmeal and raisan is amazing.

    Since i am dieting, i want to have some healthy sweets on hand to satisfy my sugar craving. I added organic jaggery powder in this which is a great substitute for regular sugar. I have given the link to the jaggery which i used below, check it out.

    Preparation Time : 15 mins
    Baking Time : 16 to 18 mins
    Makes : 16 to 20 cookies
    Recipe Source: Divine taste

    Ingredients:

    Instant Oatmeal / Quick Cooking Oats - 1 cup / 90 grams
    Whole Wheat Flour or All Purpose Flour - 1 cup / 120 grams
    Cinnamon Powder - 1 tsp
    Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - 1 tsp
    Raisans - ½ cup
    Brown Sugar / Jaggery - ¾ cup / 135 grams
    Soft Unsalted Butter - ½ cup or 100 grams 
    Flax Seed Powder - 1 tblspn
    Warm Water - ¼ cup / 60 ml

    (My 1 cup measures 240 ml)


    Method:

    Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a baking tray with foil and grease it lightly with butter. Set aside.

    Take flax seed powder in a bowl, add in ¼ cup of warm water and mix well. Set aside for 5 mins till it is thick.

    Take butter, brown sugar in a bowl and use a electric beater to whip this up till creamy.

    Add in flax seed mix and whip again till creamy.

    Add in oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon powder and raisan. Mix everything well.

    Divide the dough into equal ball and flatten each one.

    Now bake this for 16 to 18 mins untill golden and done.

    Remove it and let it cool down.

    Enjoy with milk or store it in a air tight container.

    They stay good for 3 days at room temp and more than 10 days in fridge.

    i used a icecream scoop to divide it

    shape it into a ball

    flatten it

    place it in a buttered foil tray

    i got 16 big cookies out of this

    bake them..

    remove them to a cooling rack and let them cool completely
