    Gujarati Kadhi

    Kadhi is one of the simplest recipe you could make, it need just a handful of ingredients and taste yummy with plain cooked rice. I have made kadhi pakora before and it is a super hit at home.

    Ingredients for Kadhi Pakora

    • Yogurt / Curd - 1 cup
    • Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 2 tblspn
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - 1 tsp
    • Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
    • Green Chilli - 2
    • Ginger - 4 cm piece
    • Oil - 2 tblspn
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    • Cinnamon / Pattai - 3 cm piece
    • Cloves / Krambu - 3
    • Dry Red Chillies - 2 broken
    • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya podi - ¼ tsp

    How to Make Kadhi Pakora

    1. Take green chilli and ginger in a blender and puree till smooth.
    2. Take yogurt, gram flour, the puree and whisk well. Add water and whisk well.
    3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add all seasoning ingredients and let it sizzle.
    4. Add in yogurt mix and bring it to a boil. Boil it for 2 to 3 mins.
    5. Add in salt, sugar and mix well.
    6. Add in coriander leaves and mix well.
    7. Serve.
