I made this quick pepper gobi yesterday and served it with my egg fried rice. It was so delicious, you can have it like a appetizer, juts like gobi 65. But i loved the taste of this more than gobi 65. YUM YUM..

The real taste of this dish comes from the pepper, so add a good amount of that and it will blow up your socks off. You could some capsicum if you want, but i want to keep it simple. So give this a try and you will love this for sure..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves : 3 to 4

Ingredients:
Cauliflower – 1 medium size cut into small florets
Salt – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1/2 tsp
Oil for deep frying

For Batter :
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1/2 cup
Cornflour / Cornstarch – 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Ice Cold Water as needed
Dark Soy Sauce – 1 tsp

For Sauce:
Oil – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 small finely chopped
Garlic – 5 cloves finely chopped
Green Chillies – 2 finely chopped
Curry leaves a sprig
Dark Soy Sauce – 1 tsp

Pepper Powder – 1 tsp

Method:
Take gobi in a sauce pan, cover it with water. Add salt and turmeric powder and cook for 8 to 10 mins till gobi is cooked. Drain and set aside.
Mix all the ingredients for batter to a smooth paste. Chill it till use. Now dip the drained cooked gobi in this and coat it well, now fry this in hot oil till it is golden, drain in paper towel.
Heat oil in a frying pan, add onions, garlic, chillies and curry leaves. Saute for a min.

@AnonymousYou have to add cornflour as well. SO it will coat well. Also make the batter little thick.
