    Fried Cauliflower Recipe

    Cauliflower Fry - Fried Gobi Recipe with step wise pictures.

    Super crispy gobi or cauliflower fry which is perfect for evening tea or snack. So easy to make and taste very delicious.

    Cauliflower is one of my all time favorite..I make it quite often, this is my mom’s favorite one too. I have quite a few ways of making this, you can check all of them here. Fried cauliflower is quite a tasty dish and it goes as a perfect appetizer with soups.

    How to Make Gobi fry

    • Take cauliflower in a sauce pan, add salt and turmeric powder and boil for 3 mins. Drain it and set aside.
    • Take it in a bowl, add all ingredients except oil and mix well.
    • Deep fry till golden brown.
    • Drain and serve.

    This is one of the quickest snack or appetizer you could make with gobi. It is so easy to make, we make this often in our house since it takes only minutes of our time. I love it all time..These are spices and so flavourful fries, because it has lots of stuff like curry leaves and coriander and so on..I can bet that this will be your kids favorite after you make it and you will love it too.

    How to Make Cauliflower Fry

    • Heat water, salt and turmeric in a sauce pan. Bring it to boil. Add cauliflower in it and cook till tender. Drain and allow it to cool down. Transfer it to a bowl.
    • Add all the ingredients given for marination in that and mix well. Add a splash of water if needed.
    • Drop it in hot oil and fry till golden brown.
    • Drain and serve.

    Ingredients
      

    Fried Cauliflower

    • Cauliflower - 1 medium size cut into florets
    • Salt to taste
    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Lemon Juice - 1 tblsp
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Bread crumbs - ¼ cup
    • Rice Flour - ¼ cup
    • Baking Powder - ¼ tsp
    • Oil for deep frying

    Fried Cauliflower (Spicy Version)

    • Cauliflower / Gobi – 1 large cut into bite size florets
    • Turmeric powder / Manjal podi – 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • For Marination:
    • Cornflour / Corn starch – ½ cup
    • Coriander powder / Malli podi – 1 tblspn
    • Chilli powder – 2 tsp
    • Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
    • Curry leaves -1 spring
    • Salt to taste
    • Coriander leaves / Cilantro – 3 tblspn finely chopped

    Instructions
     

    Fried Cauliflower

      Hi Aarthi, can't thank you enough for the recipes. Every morning I check your website on what to cook! Tried this yesterday. But because my cauliflower was quite soft due to initial steaming, it was still soft after I fried it. While the coating was crunchy, cauliflower was not. My oil level was not too deep either. Just covered the cauliflower. Please advise.
