Coconut Oil - 1 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
Urad Dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Purple Cabbage - 4 cups chopped finely
Salt to taste
Fresh Coconut -1 cup grated
Dry Red Chillies - 2 to 3
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
Shallots - 2 to 3
Garlic - 3 cloves
Take all the grinding ingredients in a blender and make it into a coarse puree.
Now heat oil in a pan, add in the mustard, urad dal and curry leaves. Let them sizzle.
Add in cabbage and little salt. Saute for few mins.
Cover and simmer for 6 to 8 mins till it is cooked.
Now open the lid, add the coconut masala and fry for few mins.

|cut it in half and admire the beauty|
|i used my handy chopped to chop it very finely|
|Take coconut in a blender|
|add in garlic and chopped shallots|
|add red chilli|
|add some cumin|
|make it into a rough mix..dont add water while doing this|
|Heat coconut oil in a kadai, add in mustard and urad dal|
|add in curry leaves|
|add in some asafoetida|
|let them sizzle|
|add in cabbage|
|add very little salt|
|cover and cook|
|now it is done|
|now add the ground masala|
