    What is Saffron?

Saffron is one of the world's most valuable spices. The thread-like scarlet stigmas and the yellow tint they give are legends in and of themselves. Saffron is a delicate and fragrant spice. The somewhat sweet, rich flavour is completely mysterious.

Saffron is thought to have originated in Greece and was initially farmed there, but it is
now mostly grown in Iran, Greece, Morocco, and India. Pregnant women may benefit from ingesting 125 mg of saffron twice daily, according to Ayurveda and ancient wisdom.

    About Saffron Milk

Making saffron milk is the greatest way to ingest saffron. Saffron at big doses (more than 0.5 g to 1 g per day) might be harmful to one's health, especially during pregnancy. Saffron is a stimulant that stimulates uterine contractions, which can lead to the commencement of labour discomfort before the whole length of the pregnancy is completed.

    Ingredients for Kesar milk

    Milk :

Use regular milk for this drink. Use soy or almond milk as well. Milk is a good source of calcium and protein for pregnant women and should be included in their diet. Calcium is especially important during pregnancy because it aids in the development of strong bones in the developing infant.

    Saffron :

Saffron has a sweet, floral taste to it. Kesar, like the hormone oxytocin, has a muscular relaxant effect in the ninth month of pregnancy, which prepares the mother's body for delivery and makes labour easier. It aids in the treatment of colds and coughs. It aids in the relief of a stuffy nose, which is prevalent among pregnant women. Adding a touch of kesar or saffron to milk which creates a mild kesar drink.

    Saffron Milk Benefits

Many people say that saffron milk increases the complexion of baby when had regularly. But actually that is a myth. But saffron is actually good for pregnant women because of these reasons.

    1)Soothes body
    2)Improves Digestion
    3)Reduces Blood Pressure
    4)Promotes sleep
    5)Fights allergies

Talking about its health benefits, i should also discuss about its side effects.Don't over consume saffron, just a few thread is enough. Over 10 grams of saffron per day increases body heat and may cause miscarriage in early pregnancy. So just add a pinch of saffron in milk.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.

it helps in having a fair baby, but it has to be the good quality saffron, real saffron. Most of the stuff in the shops, is not real saffron. my friend did this in one of the pregnancy, that baby came out fair.
