    Spooky witch fingers with step by step pictures. Finger like cookies made using shortbread cookie dough which makes a great addition to your halloween table.

    Spooky Witch Fingers

    Something i love about halloween, but i have never made any recipes for that. SO i decided to try a halloween special recipe this time. I saw this spooky witch fingers all over the internet and pinterest. So decided to give it a go.

    I had lots of fun when making this cookies and it turned out pretty good as well. The taste was really yummy, buttery sugar cookies.

    Ingredients for Witch Fingers

    • Unsalted Butter - 1 cup / 220 grams
    • Confectioners Sugar / Icing Sugar - 1 cup / 125 grams
    • Egg - 1
    • Almond Extract - 1 tsp
    • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
    • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 ¾ cup / 310 grams
    • Baking Powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt - ½ tsp 
    • Blanched Almonds as needed (peeled)
    • Green Food Colour few drops
    • Red Fruit Jam as needed

    How to Make Witch Fingers

    1. Preheat oven to 160 degree C.  Line a baking tray with parchment and set aside.
    2. Take butter, sugar in a bowl and whisk well till fluffy. 
    3. Add in both the essence and mix well.
    4. Add in egg and mix well.
    5. Add in green food colour and mix well.
    6. Add in flour, baking powder and salt and mix well till you get a soft dough.
    7. Chill the dough for 30 mins.
    8. Now take a tblspn of the dough and shape it into a log like, make indention on it like you have on a finger. Use a knife to make wrinkles. Place a almond on the top as nail.
    9. Bake this for 20 to 25 mins.
    10. Now remove it from oven, remove the almonds and place some jam on the nails, place back the almonds.
    11. Cool it down and store in an air tight container.

    Ingredients

    take butter in a bowl

     

    add icing sugar

     

    mix well

     

    add vanilla and almond essence

     

    mix well

     

    add in egg

     

    mix well

     

    add green colour

     

    mix well

     

    add baking powder

     

    salt

     

    all purpose flour

     

    make it into a dough

     

    chill this for 30 mins or so

     

    take a small ball

     

    roll it like this

     

    make two indention like this

     

    take your blanched, peeled almonds

     

    place it

     

    make wrinkles like this

     

    arrange on a baking tray

     

    bake till done

     

    now remove the almonds

     

    place some jam

     

    place the almonds back
     
     
    done..looks creepy right

      I've been cooking peppers and onions in the skillet on the flame broil a great deal of late. I'll need to include jalapenos next time. Yum. I like cooking bacon that much as well, albeit hot fat + open fire includes a decent component of threat. I used to get flank steak, yet my significant other inspired me to attempt the carne asada cut from our nearby market, and I favor it. Not certain if it's thin-cut flank or skirt (I'll need to ask), however it would appear that this
