Badam Milk / Badam Kheer / Almond Saffron Milk / Almond Drink - Welcome Drink Ideas

Now coming back to today's recipe. It is a updated version of badam milk which i already have in this blog. We love to serve this for guest who drop in for a party or get together. This drink is a rich one, but taste so yummy and everyone love it..So try this out and let me know how it turned out for you.



Preparation Time: 10 mins
Soaking Time : 1 hour
Cooking Time : 4o to 45 mins
Serves : 4 to 5

Ingredients:

Whole Milk - 1/2 liter + 1/2 cup
Almonds / Badam - 15 to 20
Sugar - 1/2 cup / 100 grams or adjust
Saffron - a pinch
Cardamom Powder / Yelakai - 1 tsp

Method:

Pour hot water over badam and let it sit for a hour. After that peel em and take them in a blender with 1/2 cup of milk. Make them into a smooth puree. Set this aside till use,

Take milk in a sauce pan and heat it up. Simmer the pan and let it simmer for 15 to 20 mins till it is reduced.

Now add in badam paste and sugar mix well. Cook this for 10 mins or so.

Now add in saffron, cardamom powder and mix well.

Pour this into a jug and put it in the fridge or freezer for chill.

Serve cold.

Blanch badam in hot water


Peel em


All blanched


Take badam in a blender


Add some milk


blend it to a smooth puree


Heat milk in a sauce pan


Boil till it reduces a litte


Add sugar


Add pureed badam paste


Mix well and simmer


Once it is simmered for a 10 min or so add saffron


add cardamom powder


mix well


Adjust milk level as per your liking


Done


Pour into a jug


Chilli it


Serve

  3. @valar valaryes u can give, just add 3 to 4 almonds and a pinch of saffron.
