Ragi Milk Peda Kozhukattai Recipe - Ragi & Khoya Modak Recipeun

This modak was in my mind for very long time. But because of my laziness i didn't make it in advance. But i made it for today and i am sharing it immediately with you all.

It is so easy to make, all you have to do is the dough alone. The filling is store bought and it taste so yummy. The outer layer has ragi in it, but it taste so soft and yummy.

This is the prasadam plate which i made for ganesh chaturthi today.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 20 mins
Makes : 12 modak

Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu - 1/2 cup
Ragi Flour / Finger Millet Flour - 1/2 cup
Salt a pinch
Ghee - 1 tblspn
Sweet Khoya / Paal Kova - 1 cup
Water - 1.5 cup
Oil as needed

Take water in a pan, add in salt and ghee. Bring it to a boil.

Once it boils, add in rice flour and ragi flour and mix well till it comes together as a ball. Set aside so it cools slightly.

Take your modak mould and grease it lightly with oil. Place a ball of dough in and press it with your fingers to spread it on all sides. spoon in some khoya and place some more dough and seal it well. Unmould it.

Place it in a greased steamer plate and steam for 5 mins.

Remove it and let it cool a bit.
