Spicy Bread Biryani
This is a recipe which i make very often, but i never thought of sharing it here. Finally i made it few days back for dinner. I decided to take pictures as well so i can share it here. Sorry for the poor quality pictures since it is at night i couldn't take good pics. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Ingredients for Spicy Bread Biryani
- Oil - 2 tblspn
- Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf - 1 tblspn
- Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 small stick
- Onion or Leek - 1 medium size chopped finely
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tblspn
- Carrot - 1 medium size chopped
- Capsicum - 1 medium size chopped
- Tomatoes - 2 large chopped
- Green Chillies - 2 chopped
- Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tblspn
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 2 tsp
- Bread Slices - 6 to 7
- Coriander Leaves - 3 tblspn finely chopped
- Mint Leaves - 3 tblspn finely chopped
- Yogurt / Curd - ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Water - 1 cup
How to make Spicy Bread Biryani
- Toast your bread in a toaster or in oven or in tawa. Cut into pieces and set aside.
- Heat oil in a nonstick kadai. Add in cinnamon and fennel seeds and let them sizzle.
- Now add in onions, chillies and saute till golden.
- Add in ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell leaves.
- Add in tomatoes and season with salt and sugar. Cook till tomatoes turn mushy.
- Add in spice powders and mix well. Add in veggies and mix well.
- Pour in a cup of water, simmer the pan and cook covered for 10 mins on low heat till veggies are done.
- Now add in yogurt, coriander and mint leaves and mix well.
- Now add in the bread pieces and toss well.
- Cover with a lid and simmer it for 5 mins.
- Serve.

- 2 teaspoon Chilli Powder
- 1 tblspn Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
- 2 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- 6 to 7 Bread Slices
- 3 tblspn finely chopped Coriander Leaves
- 3 tblspn finely chopped Mint Leaves
- ½ cup Yogurt / Curd
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
