Grilled Pizza Sandwich Recipe - Kids Friendly Sandwich Recipes


I was thinking what to make for lunch, i felt like having something cheesy, but was too lazy to make pizza because i have to whip up pizza dough and stuffs like that. So i decided to try out a sandwich recipe which has all the ingredient which we add in a pizza. And guess what it was a super hit.



I am sure if you make this for your little one they will love it for sure. You can wrap this in foil and give them for lunch as well. I served it with some french fries which i made for my little one and had it with a cup of fresh grape juice. It was divine..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Grilling Time : 5 mins
Makes : 2 sandwich

Ingredients:

Bread Slices - 4
Onion - 1/2 small chopped finely
Capsicum - 1/4 chopped finely
Olives - 2 tblspn sliced
Oregano - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for Grilling
Mozzarella Cheese - 1 cup grated
Coriander leaves - 2 tblspn finely chopped

For Quick Sauce:
Tomato Ketchup - 4 tblspn
Garlic - 2 cloves chopped finely
Oregano - 1 tsp
Green Chilli - 1 chopped finely

Method:

First mix up the quick sauce together. 

Take couple of bread slices and spread the sauce over it.

Sprinkle one slice with onion, capsicum, olives, cheese, coriander leaves, salt and oregano. Top with other slice. Make one more sandwich like this.

Oil a grill maker or a sandwich maker or a tawa. Place the sandwich in and grill for 5 to 6 mins till golden.

Remove it carefully and cut into wedges.

Serve.

Take all your ingredients


First lets make a quick pizza sauce..take ketchup in a bowl


add in finely chopped garlic


add in a dash of oregano
add in chopped green chillies


mix well


I used white sandwich bread for this, you could use whole wheat bread too
add a dollop of sauce on each slice


spread evenly

sprinkle over onions


now some capsicum


spread some olives


and some chopped coriander leaves


now sprinkle a touch of salt


now top with grated cheese..i used mozzarella


sprinkle some more oregano


you can sprinkle some chilli flakes as well


top with the other slice


I made one sandwich the same way


I placed it in a grill pan and cooked till golden


remove it to a cutting board


Slice and serve hot
