    Bombay Masala Toast Recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is made with bread filled with an Indian spiced potato filling layered with crunchy vegetables then toasted until crisp.

    Bombay Masala Toast

    Okay here i am with another favourite recipe of mine..I made this few weeks back and was totally love with it. The combination of the green chutney, aloo masala and sandwich masala is just perfect.

    Ingredients for Bombay Masala Toast

    For Masala:

    • Oil - 1 tsp
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    • Curry Leaves - a spring
    • Ginger,Garlic & Green Chilli Paste - 2 tblspn
    • Frozen Peas - ½ cup
    • Salt to taste
    • Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tsp
    • Potatoes - 1 large boiled and mashed

    For Sandwich:

    • Bread Slices - 8
    • Sandwich Green Chutney as needed (RECIPE HERE)
    • Sandwich Masala as needed (RECIPE HERE)
    • Lettuce / Cabbage sliced as needed
    • Onions sliced as needed
    • Capsicum sliced as needed
    • Cucumber sliced as needed
    • Butter or oil for frying

    I had my toaster which was sitting in the corner of the cupboard without using, i used that to make this sandwich. But you can make this in regular tawa or grill pan too. This makes a filling breakfast or a light lunch or dinner as well.

    How to Make Bombay Masala Toast

    1. Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard and curry leaves. Saute for few sec.
    2. Add in ginger garlic and chilli paste and saute for 1 mins.
    3. Add in salt and turmeric powder and saute for 30 sec.
    4. Now add in peas and mix well.
    5. Add in mashed potatoes and mix well. Masala done.
    6. Take a bread slice, spread some green chutney over it. spread lettuce and cucumber slice, sprinkle with masala.
    7. Add in some masala, top with capsicum and onion slices. Sprinkle with some more masala.
    8. Cover with other bread and toast in a tawa or a toaster.
    9. Serve.

    Ingredients
      

    • For Masala:

    Mash it roughly

    Heat oil in a pan

    I had some lettuce, i shredded it and placed over the bread
