Apple Sheera Recipe – Apple Sooji Kesari Recipe with step wise pictures

This delicious apple sheera or apple sooji kesari is so easy to make and taste so amazing. This is perfect for diwali or any festival.

Kesari is one of the staple dish in our home. Amma makes it often for any special occasion, since it is easy and fast to make. This is a apple flaovured one and it taste ever so delicious. You can try this version for this diwali or any special day. It taste amazing.

Check out my chewy and  jelly like halwas too cornflour halwa or custard powder halwa.

Apple Sheera Recipe

Ingredients

  • Rava / Sooji - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 11/2 cup
  • Apples - 1 peeled and pureed
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1/3 cup
  • Cashews - 2 tblsp
  • Raisins - 2 tblsp
  • Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Food Colour few drops

Instructions

  • Heat 1/4 cup ghee in a pan, add cashews and raisins and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same ghee add in sooji and roast for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Add in water and mix well. Cook till it thickens.
  • Add in sugar and apple puree and mix well. Cook till it thickens.
  • Now add in ghee and mix well.
  • Add in food colour and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Add in fried nuts and mix well.
  • Serve.

2)Peel off the skin

3)Chop it up

4)Puree till smooth

5)Heat ghee in a pan

6)Add in cashews

7)Fry till golden brown.

8)Add in raisins

9)Fry till brown

10)Drain to a plate

11)In the remaining ghee

12)Add in sooji

13)ROast till golden

14)Fry till light golden

15)Add in water

16)Cook till it thickens

17)Add apple puree

18)Add in sugar

19)Mix well. Cook till it thickens

20)Add in food colour.

21)Mix well.

22)Add in cardamom powder

23)Add fried nuts

24)Mix well.

25)Serve
