I have seen many version of this recipe around the internet and i wanted to make this so badly…Normally bananas foster has some kind of alcohol in it, the sauce is made then at the end they add a shot of rum or whatever liquor you like or have and flambe it. But i wanted to create a non alcoholic version of this and finally here i am..

I made this couple days back and after taking the final pictures, i just set the camera aside and dived into this straight away..At first i thought hubby wont like this much because of the sauce, because he is not much into sauces, he loves his icecream just plain and simple..But i am the one who goes for all kind of fancy sauces and nuts..Even though i saved couple of banana and few spoons of sauces for him..I actually put the sauce along with bananas in fridge and during dinner time i reheated the sauce and poured it over vanilla icecream and served him. First he took a weirdo look at me and when he took his first bite, he was like “WOWO..This is just incredible and you know what from now on this is going to be my all time favourite icecream in the world” and he licked the bowl clean..I am one happy and proud wife!
I modified the recipe a little by using jaggery instead of brown sugar because that is the one which i have on hand. Still it turned out great..Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you
Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Serves : 2

Ingredients:

Butter – 3 tblspn
Brown Sugar / Jaggery – 1/2 cup ( I used grated jaggery)
Walnuts a handful chopped
Milk – 1/4 cup or as needed
Bananas – 1 or 2 sliced
Vanilla Icecream as needed

Method:

Heat butter in a nonstick pan, add in sugar or jaggery and let them melt down gently.

Bring that to a bubble, add in the bananas and toss well in the sauce..

Add in milk and mix well..Bing it to a boil..

Scoop vanilla icecream in a serving bowl, spoon some sauce and bananas over it.

Serve immediately..

You can serve this with pancakes, french toast too..

Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients
You need a ripe banana
cut them in the middle
Slice them in half
Start by heating some butter in a pan..Nonstick is best
when it is melted
add in brown sugar..I used grated jaggery
add them in
then i realized there wasn’t enough sugar..so i added some more…
melt them gently
bring them to a bubble
add in some walnuts
add in the bananas………
toss well
coat the bananas in the buttery sauce
now add in some milk..you can use cream as well
mix well
bring them to a boil
let them bubble for few sec and turn off the heat
now take your favourite icecream
scoop them baby
place them in a serving plate
spoon the bananas
pour it over the icecream
MMM..You can have it with pancakes as well
Enjoy
WOW..It was delicious..
