Broccoli Tofu Sabzi Recipe

Sabzi’s make a great sidedish for rice or roti. I make different combination of them very often. My favourite sabzi is made with broccoli and tofu.

The final addition of kasuri methi gives a nice taste to it. The key in this sabzi is not to over cook anything, you want the broccoli to be cooked but firm and holds it shape.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 20 mins
Serves: 2

Ingredients:

Broccoli – 2 cups cut into florets
Tofu – 1 cup cubed
Oil – 1 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 medium size chopped
Ginger Garlic paste – 2 tsp
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Dry Fenugreek Leaves / Kasuri Methi Leaves – 1 tblspn
Lemon Juice to taste
Salt to taste

Method:

Heat oil in a pan , add in cumin seeds and let it crackle.

Add onions and cook till golden, add ginger garlic paste and mix well.

Add in spice powder and mix well.

Add in broccoli and toss well.

Add water and tofu and cook till it is dried up and done. Add salt to taste.

Add in kasuri methi and lemon juice. Mix well.

Serve

Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients
Heat oil in a pan and crackle some cumin
add onions
add salt
cook that till translucent
add ginger garlic paste
mix well
add spice powders
mix that well
add broccoli
toss that through
add little water
add in tofu
mix well
now cook on a medium heat and toss well
Add in kasuri methi leaves
add in lemon juice
toss well
serve
