“Dates and Nuts Kheer is a rich and delicious dessert which can be served either hot or cold for this festive season.”

Dates and Nuts Kheer

Festive season is upon us. Navarathri is coming right now, later diwali. All we need to make out festive occasions even brighter is some easy delicious sweets.

Sweets like halwa or barfi or even a simple kheer would brighten those special occasions.

Check out my Most popular halwa recipes

  1. Sooji Halwa
  2. Beetroot Halwa
  3. Carrot Halwa
  4. Moong Dal Halwa

You will need a total of 30 mins to make this kheer. You can soak the nuts in milk for less time if you want. But make sure you grind till smooth. If you don’t have much time on hand then this kheer is best.

Dates and Nuts Kheer

What all Nuts can you use for this Kheer?

You can use any nuts as you like and as you can afford.

  • Cashews and Almonds are best since it adds so much taste to the halwa
  • Pistachios add a rich flavour
  • Dates adds nice sweetness
  • Raisins and sultanas can be added for extra sweetness
  • Addition of figs and apricots adds texture to the halwa.
