    Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce

This is one recipe which was on my mind for quite a long time.I wanted to make a delicious caramel brownies using this sauce. But in my place i couldn't find readymade sauce, So i decided to try it at home and believe it or not i couldn't resist digging into it. I have been dipping my spoon into the sauce and licking it quite often.

    About Salted Caramel Sauce Recipe

Homemade Salted Caramel Recipe with step by step pictures. This is my signature salted caramel sauce which made with Sugar, Salt and Cream. One of the must have ingredient in your fridge.

I loved the salty, sweet, caramel taste of this sauce and it goes well when drizzled over some cold ice cream, make sure you warm up the sauce quite a little. You can drizzle it over some pancakes, french toast and the option is pretty endless.

I am thinking about making a cake with a caramel butter cream icing too. Hope you will try this out and let me know how it turns out for you..

I made this today but it was not smooth, a bit grainy. I think the cream curdled or something.. What could have been the reason? But the taste was great 🙂

Hii the butter to be used should be salted or unsalted?
If salted is used then I can exclude the salt part right?

Can I use a light thickened cream or does it have to be a full cream? Also, can I use a double boiler as I don't have a non-stick saucepan? Dying to try this recipe.

Hi aarthi.. Tried this recipe today and it came out amazingly well! The color and texture turned out to be perfect! But I find it too salty for my taste. I added 1.5 tsp of sugar as mentioned. Is there a way to reduce the saltiness now?

      Wonderful recipe Aarthi
Just that it is salty and 1 TSP of salt would be better instead.
