I love strawberries..But you can get these only on season..So what i like to do is, buy a bunch of those and freeze them. So i can use them all year around..Frozen strawberries are so versatile, you can use them in a variety of things like smoothies, top over oatmeals, make milkshakes, icecreams, top over icecreams, topping for pancakes, crepes, cakes, cupcakes and many more baked goodies..Strawberries are in season now and i have started freezing these babies up..

Ingredients:

Strawberries – 500 grams
Sugar – 1/4 cup

Method:

Wash strawberries well and remove the stalks off.

Cut them into small pieces and take them in a bowl.

Sprinkle the top with sugar and mix well.

Now spread some plastic wrap in a plate and scoop 1 cup of strawberries over it. Bring it together and tie it well.

Now store this in a ziploc bag and lable it.

Store this in freezer for upto 6 months.

Pictorial:
Luscious berries
take them in a large bowl
wash it well
drain it completely
now take the berry
remove the stalks off
You can either freeze this just like this, arrange this berries in a plate and freeze till it is completely frozen, then you can collect them in a container and store it in freezer
But i like to cut it and freeze
i cut them into small pieces
sprinkle it little sugar..this sugar acts like a preservatives
toss well
now lets pack these beauties
i just used a bowl, line plastic wrap in the bowl
scoop 1 cup measure of those berries
now wrap this up
tie it pretty tightly
done
i made many batches of it
put all these in a freezer safe bag
Freeze till needed..I freeze bananas and pineapples as well..Will share those in a separate post..
