Paneer Biryani Recipe with step by step pictures. This is made with Paneer and Whole Spices which taste delicious.

     Paneer Biryani

Now coming back to the recipe..This is a simple yet flavourful paneer biryani..I love paneer so much, but nowadays i am substituting paneer for tofu. I think they both have the same texture, but tofu is a lot more healthier..This biryani has so much flavour in it since we are adding a good amount of coriander leaves.Great for parties or for lunch box. I hope you will love it as much i do.

How to Make Paneer Biryani (Stepwise Pictures)

1)Take all your ingredients. Wash and Soak Basmati Rice for 30 mins. Strain and Set aside.

2)Take the ingredients given for grinding in a blender.

3)and make into a fine puree by adding some water. Set this aside.

4)Heat a tblspn of oil and fry the paneer pieces in that.

    6)Remove and Set aside.

7)Take a Pressure Cooker. Add 2 tblspn oil and heat it up. Add in cumin seeds and fry well.

8)Add in onions and cook till golden brown.

9)Season with salt and mix well.

10)Add in the ground masala and cook till oil separates from it.

11)In goes tomatoes and cook till mushy.

12)Add in curd, and mix well.

    14)Add in paneer.

15)Add rice and water and bring everything to a boil.

    16)Let it come to boil.

17)Cover and simmer for 15- 20 mins or cook for 1 whistle and switch off the flame.

18)Let the pressure go all by itself . Open it and fluff with a fork.

That sounds delicious but your chillies cannot be as hot as mine! If I used that many of mine it would blow my head off, and I like very hot!!!
It does not seem to have stopped raining here for the past month, I am getting a bit fed up with it!! Diane

I've never thought of using tofu in place of paneer. What a good idea to save some calories.
