I was thinking so hard yesterday for dinner ideas. Sometimes it happens, your head go blank and you will be looking for inspiration. I know I had a packet of paneer, so I am sure that it is going to be something using that. Hubby told me to make roti and paneer curry. But I was quite bored to make the same thing again and again. So I decided to use the both and create a new dish.

    About Paneer Cheese Wrap

A cheese roll or wrap is a snack dish similar to Welsh rarebit that is made by coating a slice of bread with a prepared filling consisting primarily of grated or sliced cheese, rolling it into a tube shape, and toasting it. Cheese rolls are a popular cuisine in New Zealands Otago and Southland regions, where they are regularly seen on the menus
of cafeterias and similar eateries, and are also referred to as southern sushi. Paneer cheese wrap or roll have stuffing of paneer which is sauted in spicy masala.

So i decided to make a paneer wrap, i had some cheese in my fridge, so i added that as well. I dont want the outer layer of the wrap to be too thick and chewy so i made a rumali roti instead of regular roti or chapati. When i finished making the wrap and tasted it, it was sooo good..I had some leftover so i enjoyed it for todays breakfast as well.

    Ingredients for Paneer Cheese wrap

    Rumali Roti

Roti is a whole wheat flour flatbread that isnt leavened. Its light and airy, with no filling, and its great with veggies, lentils, or meat dishes.

    Mozzarella Cheese

Despite its mild flavour, mozzarella is a popular melting cheese because it has an elastic texture that many chefs and cheese consumers prefer. With a milky freshness, the flavour is delicate and slightly tart. The softer and more sour the cheese becomes as it ages.

Mozzarella has a minimal fat and calorie content. In comparison to other cheeses, this makes it a healthier option. Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus fermentum, microorganisms found in mozzarella, are probiotics.

    Butter

Butter complements and improves the flavours of the meal when used as a cooking medium, such as when sautéeing vegetables. It also gives sauces a more nuanced flavour. It contributes to the flavour and texture of baked foods.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.

    Paneer Cheese Wrap Preparation

    • Start by making the filling. Heat butter in a frying pan, add in finely chopped onions and saute till it turns light golden.
    • Now add in tomatoes and cook till it is completely mushy.
    • Now add in chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and tomato ketchup. Mix this well and cook till oil separates.
    • Add in some water and bring it to a boil.
    • Add in cubed paneer and mix well. Cover this with a lid and cook on medium heat till the masala goes into the paneer. Cook this for 10 mins or so.
    • Open the lid and dry the curry a little.
    • Once the paneer curry is dried up a little, add in sliced onions and toss well on high heat for couple of mins.
    • Turn off the heat and add in tomatoes, parsley and lemon juice. Mix well Filling done.
    • Now spread a rumali roti, spoon some filling in, top with grated carrots and cheese. Fold it like a wrap.
    • Heat some butter in a tawa. Place the wrap on the butter and cook both sides till golden.

@Unknowni think u must have over cooked it, so it must have got hard. You have to cook them lightly, so they will retain their softness, since they are very thin
