    Paneer Wrap Recipe

Healthy and filling paneer cheese wraps made using roti, paneer and cheese. These make yummy breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I was thinking so hard yesterday for dinner ideas. Sometimes it happens, your head go blank and you will be looking for inspiration. I know I had a packet of paneer, so I am sure that it is going to be something using that. Hubby told me to make roti and paneer curry. But I was quite bored to make the same thing again and again. So I decided to use the both and create a new dish.

    About Paneer Kathi Rolls (Frankie)

A wrap is a snack dish similar to a roll which has any cooked protein, veggies and sauce of your choice.

Paneer Wrap is made with wheat tortilla, some grilled spicy paneer, some crunchy veggies. They are so healthy, you can put them in your kids lunch boxes or make it for parties. Paneer cheese wrap or roll have stuffing of paneer which is grilled in spicy masala.

Is Paneer Wrap Same as Kathi Rolls or Frankie

Paneer kathi rolls also called as frankie by street food vendors. Kathi rolls are so easy to make and so tasty to eat. This recipe is entirely vegetarian. Usually kathi rolls has eggs poured over the roti when it is cooked.

You can even add cheese over the paneer, roll it and just heat it on tawa till the cheese melts. Paneer kathi rolls can be filled with paneer tikka and salads on top. You can add an egg over the roti when frying it just like this veg kathi rolls.

Frankie can be made with veggies, chicken, paneer too. If you are so into kathi rolls, check my other versions too.

    Paneer

Cottage cheese or paneer makes a great vegetarian alternative for wraps and rolls. It is made with milk. Paneer absorbs the spices and yogurt which you marinade it with. Grilling the paneer adds a smoky flavor to it.

    Tortilla | Chapati

Tortilla is a whole wheat flour flatbread or plain flour bread that is'nt leavened. It is light and airy, and its great with veggies, lentils, or meat dishes.

    Yogurt

Yogurt or curd tenderises the meat or paneer you add and gives a hint of tang to the dish.

    Fillings | Toppings

Fresh vegetables like sliced onions, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, bell peppers can be used in wraps which adds a crunch.

How to wrap a paneer frankie

When assembling. Take a tortilla and place it on the board. Spread few dashes of ketchup over the tortilla to make it moist. Now place few pieces of grilled paneer over it. Top this with thinly sliced onions, lettuce, tomatoes and bell peppers.

Fold the tortilla from both sides and roll them tight and wrap them in foil or parchment paper.

You can serve it hot or at room temp.

@Unknowni think u must have over cooked it, so it must have got hard. You have to cook them lightly, so they will retain their softness, since they are very thin
