    About this Recipe

A pickled cucumber (also known as a gherkin in the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, and New Zealand) is a cucumber that has been pickled in a brine, vinegar, or other solution and left to ferment for a period of time, either by immersing the cucumbers in an acidic solution or through lacto-fermentation. Pickled cucumbers are
    frequently included in mixed pickles..

Whats the difference between pickled cucumbers and regular cucumbers?

Pickling cucumbers are smaller in length and diameter than slicing cucumbers. They are bred to have thinner skins and black spines to improve the appearance of the pickled product. Pickling varieties can be eaten fresh, and slicing varieties can be pickled, but the average consumer can tell the difference.

    Seedless Cucumber :

They are usually not waxed and instead wrapped in plastic. Because their seeds are much smaller and easier to eat, they do not need to be de-seeded. The flavour is milder and almost sweeter than slicers. The skin is thinner and more palatable.

    White Vinegar :

White wine vinegars light, balanced sweetness makes it a refreshing addition to salad dressings and soups. Furthermore, this vinegar is an excellent choice for pickling vegetables.

    Red Chilli flakes :
Dry red chilli flakes are a spice made from a mild red pepper in the Capsicum annum family. Depending on the variety of pepper and whether the hotter seeds and spongy tissue are included, the flavour ranges from sweet and mild to hot.
