    Tomato Relish

This is a quick condiment you can make under 15 mins. You can make this during the weekend and keep handy in the fridge and use it through out the week. You can have it with sandwiches, grilled chicken, fish or eggs. Even have it with roti, naan as well.

    About this Recipe

A relish is a cooked and pickled product made of chopped vegetables, fruits, pickles, or herbs that is typically used as a condiment to complement a staple. Chutneys and North American relish, a pickled cucumber jam eaten with hot dogs or hamburgers,
    are two examples.

What is tomato relish used for?

Tomato relish can be added to meatloaf, meatballs, or hamburgers. Tomato relish can be used in place of ketchup or tomato paste in recipes. For a rich, tangy topping on a meatloaf, instead of ketchup, spread an equal amount of tomato relish over the loaf before baking.

Why Is It Called a Relish?

The word relish is thought to have originated from the early French word reles, which translates to remainder or leftover. This could be due to relishes being used to store leftover or extra vegetables and fruits.

Ingredients for Quick Tomato Relish Recipe :

    Tomatoes:
Tomato flavour is frequently described as sweet, tart, tangy, or well- balanced. Tomato flavour is also known as classic tomato flavour or old-fashioned tomato flavour in some cases. Some tomatoes are described as having a mild or bland flavour.

    Green Chilli  :
The green chillies in cooked or raw form give a fiery hot flavor. To reduce the fiery hot flavor the seeds and inner membranes could be removed which is effective at reducing the heat of the pod.

    Onion:
Onions are considered a basic ingredient or the foundation of Indian cooking and are used to make any gravy, curry, or bhuna dish. The flavour and aroma of onion transforms any ordinary dish into a mouthwatering and delectable one.

Can I blend it all at the end to get a liquidy texture? I kinda don't like to eat tomatoes and vegetables just like that.😜
