    Tomato Relish (Step by Step)

    1)Take all your ingredients needed to make relish.

    2)Heat oil in a pan. Add in fennel seeds and allow them to sizzle.

    3)Add in chopped ginger and garlic.

    4)Saute until fragrant.

    5)Add in chopped onions and green chillies.

    6)Saute until fragrant.

    7)Add in tomatoes. You can use fresh tomatoes or canned tomatoes.

    8)Cook the tomatoes until thickened.

    9)Now the tomatoes are cooked.

    9)Add in salt, sugar and red chilli flakes.

    10)Mix that well.

    11)Add in chopped coriander leaves.

    12)Mix that well.

    13)Serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
    • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
    • 1 tbsp Ginger peeled and finely minced
    • 1 tbsp Garlic peeled and finely chopped
    • 1 medium Onion peeled and finely chopped
    • 1 no Green chillies chopped finely
    • 4 large Tomatoes chopped or use 1 can of diced tomatoes
    • 2 tsp Salt or to taste
    • 1½ tbsp Sugar
    • 2 tsp Dry Red Chilli Flakes or to taste
    • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves or parsley finely chopped

    Instructions

    • Heat oil in a pan, add in fennel seeds and let it sizzle. Add in ginger and garlic and fry for a min. Add in onions, green chillies and saute for couple of mins.
    • Add in tomatoes and cook that down till it thickens. Now add in salt, sugar and chilli flakes and mix well. Cook till it thickens. Add in coriander leaves and mix well. Serve.
    • You can store this in a clean jar in fridge for upto a week.
