    Tuna Fish Masala Recipe with Step by Step Pictures. Canned Tuna turned into a delicious dish which can be served with rice.

     

    Tuna Fish Masala

    If you have any leftover cooked fish. This is a simple recipe to use it up. This entire dish comes to life in the addition of lemon juice. This is my way of using up leftover fish. You could use the same recipe for left over chicken too. If you don't have left over fish. You could also use the canned tuna or lightly fry your fish in a pan. Hope you give this a try and let me know what you think.

    Ingredients for Canned Tuna Fish Masala Recipe

    • 2 cans Canned Tuna 
    • 2 tablespoon Oil
    • 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
    • 1 handful Curry leaves
    • 1 Onion chopped
    • 2 Tomato chopped
    • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
    • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
    • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
    • Coriander leaves for garnishing
    • Lemon juice as per taste
    • Salt to taste

    How to Make Canned Tuna fish Masala

    1. Drain canned tuna and squeeze it gently to remove excess water.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add fennel seeds, curry leaves and let them sizzle.
    3. Add in onions, green chillies and cook till translucent.
    4. Add in tomatoes and cook that down.
    5. Sprinkle in chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix well.
    6. Add in canned tuna and mix well.
    7. Cover this and cook for 5 min.
    8. Add in pepper powder. Squeeze in lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.
    9. Serve hot with rice.

    Version 1 : Canned Tuna Fish Masala Recipe 

    1)Take your canned tuna

    2)Drain it

    3)Heat oil, add in fennel seeds.

    4) Add onions, chillies, curry leaves and turmeric.

    5)Add in tomatoes

    5)Add spice powders

    6)Add in canned tuna.

    7)Toss well. Cook for 5 mins.

    8)Add in black pepper and garam masala powders.

    9)Add lemon juice.

    10)Add in coriander leaves

    11)Serve.

    Version 2: Leftover Fish Masala Recipe

     

    Ingredients for Leftover Fish Masala

    • Cooked fish-2 cup(either fried fish or boiled fish)

    • Onion-1 chopped

    • Tomato-2 chopped

    • Chilli powder-1 tsp

    • Garam masala powder-1 tsp

    • Cilantro for garnishing

    • Lemon juice as per taste

    • Salt to taste

    • Oil-1 tblspn

    How to Make Leftover Fish Masala

    1. Heat oil in a kadai and throw in onions and cook till translucent.
    2. Sprinkle in chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix well.
    3. Add in tomato and cook for 3 min.
    4. Add in cooked fish and mix well.Cover this and cook for 5 min.
    5. Squeeze in lemon juice and cilantro and mix well.
    6. Serve hot with rice.
    Grab your humble ingredients
     
     
    Saute onions in oil
     
     
    add in chilli and garam masala powder
     
     
    throw in chopped tomatoes
     
     
    and the cooked chopped fish
     
     
    mix well
     
     
    throw in cilantro and squeeze some lemon juice
     
     
    mix well
     
     
    Serve hot with rice
     
     
    Or with roti.

      I will never open open posts liek this before lunch has finished.Change of plans..but the fish I could use is still frozen.Ok will wait till dinner.Fantastic dish and fits perfectly in the weather we are having here .It snowed first time in all the years(15) I live here!!
