    Watermelon Fizz

Summer has arrived and watermelons are available in abundance here..I love watermelon a lot, sometimes I am totally amazed how a massive fruit contains 98% of water stored in its fruity flesh..And in addition to this, these fruits arrive just on summer time when we need to have lots of water..God has made each and every thing in this world for a reason..Right!!

Ok now coming to this drink..I actually have a Refreshing Watermelon Juice recipe in my blog, that is a  drink which we find here all over the roadside..I used to have that all day before..But after I came across this recipe it became my latest favorite..I skipped the alcohol part used in this recipe, since I don't DRINK…But if you are making for a person who need a intense kick in their fizzzzz, you can pour a shot or two of vodka..This recipe calls for melon vodka, but you could use whatever floats your boat.

    About this Recipe

A fizz is a mixed drink variation on the older sours cocktail family. Its distinguishing characteristics are an acidic juice and carbonated water. The Ramos gin fizz was invented in 1888 at Henry C. Ramos Imperial Cabinet Saloon on Gravier Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was originally known as a New Orleans fizz, and it is one of the citys most well-known cocktails. Watermelon is a refreshing and low-calorie summer snack. It hydrates as well as contains essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Watermelons, like cantaloupe, honeydew, and cucumber, are members of the Cucurbitaceae family.

    Ingredients for Watermelon Fizz :

    Watermelon :

Watermelon has a variety of flavours, including bitter, sweet, and sour. The fruits bitter flavours are strong enough to keep the sweet from being overpowering, and the sour balances out the bitter. Watermelons distinct flavour is due to the combination of these three factors.

Soda Water / Sparkling Water :
Carbonated water is water that has been infused under pressure with carbon dioxide gas. This results in a fizzy drink known as sparkling water, club soda, soda water, seltzer water, and fizzy water. Aside from seltzer water, carbonated waters are usually flavoured with salt.

What a beautiful colour this drink is! It reminds me of Summer, but alas here in England the weather has just got freezing, with maybe even snow on the way... 🙁 I will have to wait many months for a watermelon, but at least God has given us here potatoes and swedes to roast!
