    Wheat Flour Kozhukattai Recipe - Gothumai Mavu Kolukattai Recipe

    This kozhukattai is one of our family favourite, we make it often for breakfast or for evening snacks. It is simple to make but taste so delicious..I thought of sharing it for quite a long time, finally made it few days back and took pictures of it as well.Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

    Preparation Time : 15 mins
    Cooking Time : 20 mins
    Serves : 2
    Ingredients:
    Wheat Flour / Atta - 1 cup
    Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
    Carrot - 1 chopped finely
    Beans - 10 finely chopped
    Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu -1 tsp
    Mustard seeds / Kaduku-1 tsp
    Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya podi a pinch
    Curry leaves -1 spring
    Coriander leaves - a small handful
    Water - 1 cup
    Oil - 2 tsp
    Salt to taste
    Method:
    Take wheat flour in a dry pan and roast it for 10 mins till you get nice aroma..Allow this to cool a bit..
    Now heat oil in a kadai and add mustard and urad dal, curry leaves.
    Add onion, carrot, beans in this and sauté for 3 mins. Pour water and add salt to this.
    Bring this to boil and add in wheat flour slowly while stiring constantly.
    When everything is mixed well. 
    Now allow this mixture to cool down and form small balls out of it.
    Put those dumplings in a oiled steamer basket ( I used my idli stand) and steam it for 5 to 7 mins.
    Remove and serve it with chutney or as it is..

    heat oil and crackle mustard seeds and urad dal

    add in asafoetida

    let it sizzle

    add in onions, carrots and beans

    saute for a min
    Pin
    add in 1 cup of water

    mix well
    Pin
    add salt
    Pin
    bring it to a boil
    Pin
    add in coriander leaves

    mix well
    Pin
    add in flour
    Pin
    mix well
    Pin
    now it is slowly getting mixed

    now it is all mixed

    take little portion
    Pin
    shape it into ball
    Pin
    done
    Pin
    now steam this for 5 to 6 mins

    Serve

      Hi I tried this recipe with quarter cup rava and it tasted very good. It got over in minutes and everyone loved it personaly me because I am a wheat lover.
