This giveaway ends on August 19..People from anywhere from the world are welcome to participate in this...

SO GUYS PLEASE JOIN IN THIS..LETS SEE YOU IS THE LUCKY WINNER..

Now coming back to the recipe for my 200th post..This is a many of us favorite chocolate(YES I LOVE BOUNTY)..I thought that why couldn’t we try it at home and searched for the recipe and modified it to my taste..Believe it or not..It tasted more or less like real bounty chocolate..While making the filling for the chocolate make it slightly sticky so that the inside of the chocolate will be moist..Then I used coconut oil for this to increase the flavour, but you could use butter also..This recipe is so easy to make and it makes a good amount of chocolate..Always keep this in fridge..So go ahead and make this now and let me know how it came..

Ingrediants:

Desiccated Coconut / Powdered Fresh Coconut-2 cup(Check notes below)
Condensed Milk-1/2 can
Coconut Oil-1 tblspn
Dark Chocolate Chips-1 cup

Method:

In a microwave safe bowl add the chocolate chips and melt it in the microwave for 1 min.

In a mixing bowl add coconut, condensed milk and coconut oil and mix it till it forms a sticky dough.

Apply oil to you hands and forms small round out of the dough and arrange it in a plate.

Now take the coconut balls and dip in the melted chocolate and arrange it in a foiled lined tray.

Set it in the fridge over night or 2-3 hours.

Remove it and enjoy..

Note:

If you don't have dessicated coconut, take fresh coconut and set it in freezer for 1-2 hours..It will harden up in that time..Remove and powder it in a blender lightly..You could substitute this for dessicated coconut..
Pictorial:

Grab all your humble ingrediants

Take coconut in a bowl

add in condensed milk

mix well

drizzle in coconut oil and mix well

form it into balls

Melt chocolate chips in microwave

dip each coconut balls in chocolate

arrange it in a plate

All done

Set it in fridge and it will set..

ENJOY

IT WAS SO YUMMY

Hey I tried this out and then my 6 year old declares mum we dont need to buy this anymore its awesome! Thanks dearie for trying out and posting awesome recipes.God Bless u!!

anjali said...

hi aarthi, for this receipe can I use fresh coconut? How can I dry fresh coconut at home? Also instead of chocolate chips, can I use plain chocolate or cocoa powder? If yes plz say how much? Thanks.

Aarthi said...

@anjaliYes u can use fresh coconut, just grind it lightly so it gets into coarse crumbs, toast it a little in a dry pan after that. Cool it down and add condensed milk. You could use plain chocolate for this, dont use cocoa powder. If you are using plain chocolate, use 150 grams.

Sarithaa Samy said...

Arthi,
how long do we need to melt the chocolate chip

after melting how long will it stay at the same consistency

Aarthi said...

@Sarithaa SamyJust melt it for a min. It will stay for quite a while in melted condition, if your place is not cold.

Anjali said...

I made this today. It was a hit. Thanks for an easy peasy sought after homemade chocolate.
