Instant Maida Dosa Recipe - Flour Dosa Recipe

Instant recipes are always so comforting, since it takes very less amount to cook and you can have your meal from stove to stomach in few minutes..I have a instant wheat dosa recipe in my blog already and this one is going to be a addition to my other recipe..I am sure this is going to be a keeper.

When i first came across this recipe, i thought dosa with all purpose flour..Won't that dosa be so stringy..But i totally agreed with this one, once i tried it..This dosa cameout so crispy and yummy. I served it with sambar which we call as tiffin sambar..I will post that recipe so soon. This can be served with any chutney as well.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 1 min per dosa
Serves : 4 to 5

All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup
Rice Flour / Arisi mavu - 1/4 cup
Onion - 4 tblspn chopped finely
Green Chilli - 1 chopped finely
Curry leaves- 1 spring chopped finely
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam  1 tsp
Water as needed
Salt to taste
Oil for pan frying

In a mixing bowl add every ingrediants except water and oil and mix well.

Add enough water to make a thin batter. The batter should be a little thick that our rawa dosa batter.

Heat a non stick pan. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it thinly. Drizzle some oil and cook untill the bottom crisp up. Flip over and cook till it turn light golden.

Remove to a plate and serve with chutney or sambar.

Take all your ingredients
Add both the flours in a mixing bowl
add onions. curry leaves. green chilli, salt and cumin in it..
add water
and mix well
it should be very thin
heat a non stick tawa
pour a ladleful in
drizzle some oil and cook
flip em over and cook

Wow nice dosa . I was just wondering how to get desired sourness to the dosa .. It tastes well rather than unsour one . shed we add yogurt?

Aarthi said... Best Blogger Tips

@Senoritayou dont have to add curd in this. it will taste good without it too

tanisha surajwani said... Best Blogger Tips

wow..I made dis husband love dosas..he lyked it..gud thing is it is prepared instantly .no pre preparations.. just want to ask instead of taking more maida .can v put more rice atta n less maida as I lyk more crispy dosa instead of soft.maida makes dem soft.

Aarthi said... Best Blogger Tips

@tanisha surajwaniif u need crispy one, you can add rice flour

Hi to update a comment about Malaysian dosas. In malaysia we have a variety of dosas eg. Plain dosas (using rice and urad lentil), rava dosas, uthapam dosas and plain mavu (white flour) dosas. Kind regards
