    Baby Corn Masala Recipe with step by step pictures. This is made with Baby Corn, Onion , Tomato and Ginger, Garlic. Perfect Side dish for roti.

    Baby Corn Masala

    This is a tasty sidedish for chapati or roti which can be made in less time. It is so tasty plus it needs no coconut. But it has the thickness of curry which a coconut gives.

    Ingredients for Baby Corn Masala

    • Baby Corn - 10 to 12 sliced lengthwise
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
    • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - ½ tsp
    • Oil - 1 tbsp
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    • Coriander Leaves - 3 tablespoon finely chopped
    • Green Chilli - 1 slit
    • Water as needed
    For Grinding:
    • Onion - 1 large chopped
    • Tomato - 2 medium size chopped
    • Ginger - 2 cm piece
    • Garlic - 4 cloves peeled

    How to make Baby Corn Masala

    1. Chop baby corn or slit it in lengthwise. Set aside.
    2. Take the ingredients for grinding in a blender and puree it finely.
    3. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add in cumin seeds and sizzle it.
    4. Add in the pureed masala and cook till oil separates.
    5. Add in spice powders, salt and sugar. Mix well
    6. Add in baby corn and water. Cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Let the steam go by itself.
    7. Open the cooker and serve.

    Ingredients
      

    • 10 to 12 sliced lengthwise Baby Corn
    • 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
    • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
    • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
    • Salt to taste
    • ½ teaspoon Sugar
    • 1 tablespoon Oil
    • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
    • 3 tablespoon finely chopped Coriander Leaves
    • 1 slit Green Chilli
    • Water as needed
    • For Grinding:

    • 2 medium size chopped Tomato
    • 2 cm piece Ginger
    • 4 cloves peeled Garlic

    Baby Corn Masala Recipe step by step picture

     
    Take some baby corn
    peel the skin
    i sliced them like this, but you can chop them as well
    Now take your other ingredients
    Take onions in a blender
    Add in ginger and garlic
    add in tomatoes
    Make it into a smooth puree
    Heat oil in a pressure cooker

     

    Add in cumin seeds
    Add in pureed masala
    cook till oil separates
    Add in chilli, turmeric and garam masala powder
    add in green chilli
    some salt and sugar
    mix well
    add some water
    mix well
    add in the baby corn
    mix well
    pressure cook
    Serve
