Double Chocolate Buttercream Frosting Recipe

This is my latest addiction of frosting. It is too good to resist. It taste amazing when slattered over cakes or cupcakes. I used it in my swiss roll and it was perfection.Try this out and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 15 mins
Makes: 2 to 3 cups of frosting


Dark Chocolate Chips - 3/4 cup
Butter - 1/4 cup (50 grams)
Butter - 1/2 cup (100 grams)
Icing Sugar / Confectioners Sugar - 2 to 3 cups (300 grams)
Cocoa Powder - 4 tblspn
Vanilla Essence - 2 tsp
Milk as needed


Sift your icing sugar and cocoa powder.

Take chocolate chips and 2 tblspn butter in a sauce pan and melt on low heat till it is all melted. Set aside to cool down completely.

Now take 1/2 cup butter in a bowl and whip till creamy.

Add in half of the icing sugar whip till creamy.

Add remaining half of the icing sugar and cocoa and whip it up.

Add melted cooled chocolate and mix well.

Add vanilla and milk and whip again till creamy.

Now the frosting is done.

Use as needed.

Take chocolate and butter in a sauce pan

melt it gently and set aside

take butter in a bowl
whip till creamy and fluffy

add some of the sifted icing sugar

add sifted cocoa powder as well

whip till creamy

add remaining powdered sugar

whip well

add the chocolate mix

mix well

add vanilla

add little milk

now whip this till the smooth texture is reached
