This cupcake is on my mind for quite a long time. I wanted to do a cake which has a combination of chocolate and orange, because these two are a combination made in heaven. Finally i got a chance to make these and it was delicious..

I used a plain cupcake batter recipe and added some orange zest to the batter to give the cupcake a orange aroma. Then i made a rich creamy orange chocolate frosting. It was a hit.
The cupcakes tasted so chocolaty with a hint of orange flavour coming through it. I liked it a lot. You can frost it with any of your favourite frosting.
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Hi, These look really yummy. Wanna try this. pls tell me the consistency of the batter. Is it ok if it is thick or should it be like idli batter? Also is it necessary to use both baking soda and baking powder. Can i use only baking powder instead? What should be the quantity of baking powder if i'm not using baking soda?
