    Cucumber Raita Recipe

When you are making something spicy like a pulav or briyani, the one thing which you want on the side is a cool and creamy raita..Without raita no meal is complete..We often make raita with a whole lot of different vegetables..But this one is my absolute favorite..It is made with cucumber and some extra special stuffs are added to it..And one tip which i can give is whenever you are making a raita add a touch of sugar to it, which makes the raita balanced in taste and taste way better..This is a perfect dish for hot summer days, when you want something cool.

    About Cucumber Raita Recipe

In Indian cuisine, raita is a side dish made of dahi and either raw or cooked vegetables, rarely fruit, or, in the case of boondi raita, fried batter made of besan. In western cooking, a side dish, dip, or cooked salad comes the closest.

Cucumber Raita is a variation of raita that can be used as a dip or a salad. Freshly chopped cucumber, green chilies, dahi, and optionally finely chopped tomato and onion are combined to make it. Since it helps people avoid the heat, it is particularly well-liked during the summer.

    Ingredients for Cucumber Raita Recipe

    Cucumber

Since cucumbers contain a lot of water, their flavour is mild and barely sweet. They are described as being cool as a cucumber because they are crisp, cool, and energising to eat raw. Although cucumber skin has a more earthy flavour, many people choose to eat it because of the texture, flavour, and health benefits.

    Spring Onion

Spring onions are very young onions that have been harvested before the bulb has had a chance to swell. The long, slender green tops and small white bulb are both edible and can be eaten raw or cooked.

    Green Chilli

The green chillies in cooked or raw form give a fiery hot flavor. To reduce the fiery hot flavor the seeds and inner membranes could be removed which is effective at reducing the heat of the pod.
