Grilled Prawns Recipe, made with prawns marinated in spices and grilled till charred to perfection. The marination which I have shared here is perfect for prawns or shrimp. Learn how to make grilled prawns with stepwise pictures and video.

    Grilled Prawns

This is one amazing recipe you can try your hands one. So easy but taste so fresh and yummy. Plus there is only little oil involved in it. I grilled it in my favourite grill pan, but you can simply use normal tawa too.

    About Grilled Prawns

Grilled prawns is one of the most popular dish you can make using prawns. Try to use jumbo prawns or king prawns which adds so much juicy texture to the prawns. The marination which I have given here is perfect for prawns or any seafood.

The longer you marinate, the better the taste will be. Also don't over grill or cook the prawns else it may get rubbery in texture.

    Grilled Prawns Ingredients

Prawns - try to choose large size prawns also known as jumbo prawns or king prawns for maximum taste.

Garlic & Ginger - these aromatics adds flavour and aroma to the prawns when it is grilled.

Spring Onions & Coriander leaves - you can use onions, shallots instead of spring onions. Fresh coriander leaves adds fresh taste. Mint leaves can be added for aroma.

Chilli Powder - I used kashmiri chilli powder which is important for the colour.

Seasonings - salt, sugar and soy sauce is used as seasonings.

Lemon juice - be generous with the vinegar or lemon juice. It helps remove the raw smell from the prawns.

Oil - you can use oil, ghee or butter for grilling the prawns.

    Grilled Prawns (3 Easy Steps)

MARINATION - Take all the ingredients except prawns and oil in a blender, make it into a fine puree. Now pour this over prawns and mix well. Marinate it for 15 mins

ASSEMBLING - Take a skewer, and skewer the prawns in it leaving little space between each one.

GRILLING - Heat a grill pan till smoking and brush some oil over it. Place the prawns in grill and cook for 3 mins on each side. Remove it and serve.

Love your recipes! Can we do this in an oven? If yes what temp and time? Did you use the grill plan on flame or is a separate gadget for grilling? Thank you!
