    Masale Bhat Recipe

One fine day, I was left to do lunch for a couple of people. One is ofcourse myself and another one special person is my sister. I should talk few words about my sister at this point. She is a picky eater, specially when she comes to my house. If she sees some boring lunch menu, she starts whining at me..She always want something special from me. This is the stuff which i made when she gave a unexpected visit to my house..For my bad luck that day i made curd rice alone, so i made this for the both of us to enjoy a lovely afternoon. Lets not forget the desert. I made a special muffin for her, which will be soon posted here.

This is such a simple rice dish, which doesn't need much work. But the taste is so mouthwateringly good. The flavours and spices which go through this dish is perfect. I served this spicy rice with homemade yogurt, which cooled off the spices in this. Try it for sure, you will love it.

We had it for dinner yesterday. It's such a super simple, quick dish! I served it with a big bowl of vinaigrette lettuce, French style, so there would be more veggies. I was in such a hurry that I threw the powder spices into the pot with the cumin and cardamom - I wonder if this didn't cause them to burn a little. I have to try this properly next time 🙂

@morriYes you should not add the powdered spices along with the whole spices, they will burn them.

Add the whole spices and saute them for a min. Then add the powdered spices and let them bloom for less than 30 sec.
