Mushroom Paratha Recipe / Mushroom Stuffed Paratha Recipe

This is a recipe which a viewer asked for. I have been holding this for so many month and finally i got a chance to make it out. I was totally surprised by the taste. It was so yummy that i am making it more often now. I made this for lunch oneday and it was very filling. I paratha makes you kind of full.

This is a great recipe to put in your kids lunch box. If you making for kids, remove the green chillies and reduce the pepper level as well. Since it is stuffed paratha it keeps soft for a long time. Plus you dont need any sidedish for this.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Makes : 5 paratha


Ingredients:


For Dough:
Wheat Flour / Atta – 2 cup + more
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil as needed to fry paratha


For Filling:
Oil – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 medium size chopped finely
Green Chillies – 1 chopped finely
Ginger – 1 tsp grated
Garlic – 1 tsp chopped finely
Spring Onion – 1 cup chopped finely
Mushrooms – 200 grams chopped finely
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:

Start by making dough by mixing flour, salt, water. Knead it to a soft dough. Cover and let it rest till you make filling.

Heat oil in a pan, add in onions, green chillies and saute lightly.

Add in ginger garlic and mix well.

Add in mushroom and keep cooking till is done. Now add in cumin powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder, salt and mix well.

Now add in spring onion and mix well. Filling done.

Take your dough. Divide into equal balls. Take two ball and roll it out.

Place filling over one paratha and cover with other. Roll this out and put it on hot tawa. Drizzle oil on both sides and cook till golden.

Remove and serve.

Take all your ingredients
Start by making dough..take wheat flour in a bowl
add in salt
pour in some water
Knead to a soft dough
cover and let it rest while you make the filling
heat oil in a pan
add in onions and green chillies
saute till light golden
add in ginger and garlic
mix that well
add in mushrooms
keep cooking them..
now it is done
add in cumin powder and garam masala powder
add in some pepper powder
add some salt
mix well
add a good amount of chopped spring onions
mix well
filling done..let this cool a bit
now back to the dough
divide it into equal balls
take two balls
roll them out
take one rolled dough
spoon some filling
spread it out
cover with other roti
seal the edges
roll out 
now it is all rolled
place it on hot tawa and cook for few sec
flip over and Drizzle some oil over the sides
cook on both sides till golden
remove it to a plate
cut it into wedges
serve

    This looks so so yummy Aarthi. Can we use ginger garlic paste instead of chopped garlic and grated ginger? I dont like garlic to come in mouth while eating and tend to remove it.
