Cornflakes Mixture
I made this cornflakes when i made my poha chiwda. Both of them where a hit and tasted yum. Loved the sweet, salty and spicy taste they give..It tasted so crunchy and was great with a cup of chai.
I loved lots of nuts in my mixture so i added a good amount of them..You can add whatever you feel like, that is the beauty about mixture. You can throw anything in them it will taste yum.

Ingredients for Cornflakes Mixture Recipe
- Cornflakes - 3 cups (Use plain cornflakes)
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Curry Leaves a handful
- Peanuts - ¼ cup
- Roasted Gram Dal / Chutney Dal - ¼ cup
- Cashews - ¼ cup
- Badam / Almonds - ¼ cup
- Kishmish / Sultanas - ¼ cup
For Spice Mix:
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar - 1 tbsp

How to make Cornflakes Mixture Recipe
- Heat 1 tblspn of oil in a kadai. Add in curry leaves and cook till they turn crispy.
- Add in peanuts and roasted gram dal and saute till it turns light golden.
- Add in cashews and badam and saute till they get golden as well.
- Now remove this to a bowl.
- Heat another tblspn of oil in the same kadai. Add in asafoetida, chilli powder, salt and sugar. Keep mixing till the sugar starts to melt.
- Add in the nuts and kishmish. Saute this for 2 mins.
- Add in cornflakes and toss well.
- Remove this to a bowl and let it cool.
- Store it in a air tight container.

I did it.went on well.but the sugar mix was becoming blogs and in the mixture they were not blending well.instead the sugar chilli salt mix thickened and staying out as blocks. What might b the reason

Same happened to me too sugar crystallised to sticky chunks nd did not mix properly.. Nd chilly got burnt evn in low flame.. Waiting to cool it down to know the results
