Semiya Pakoda Recipe - Vermicelli Pakora Recipe

I always look out for easy pakora or fried snacks because we like to have these without cup of tea..I make fried food like this once a week mostly on the weekend..This is one pakora which i made last week in my mom's place. I made some laksa for lunch, i had some cooked rice vermicelli leftover from that. So i used that to make this..You can use normal vermicelli too..

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 1 min per batch
Serves : 4 to 5

Cooked Vermicelli - 3 cups ( i used rice vermicelli)
Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - 1/4 tsp
Onions - 1 medium size chopped finely
Green chillies - 3 chopped finely
Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
Spring Onions Greens - 4 tblspn chopped finely (optional)
Oil for frying
Water if needed

Heat water in a pot, once it boils, add in vermicelli and cook till cooked around 7 to 8 mins. Drain it and cool it down. Set aside.

Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

Heat oil for deeop frying. Drop small pakora in and fry till golden.

Drain and serve.
