Russian Tea Cakes Recipe - Russian Tea Cookies Recipe - Eggless Cookies Recipe

This is a very very easy cookies to make. it is called as russian tea cakes which is often served with a cup of tea or coffee. It is a eggless recipe and taste so buttery and delicious.

Preparation Time : 10 mins

Baking Time : 10 to 12 mins
Makes: 20 cookies


Unsalted Butter - 1/2 cup (110 grams)
Powdered Sugar - 1/4 cup (50 grams)
Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
Salt a pinch
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup + as needed (120 grams)
Cashews or any nuts - 1/2 cup chopped finely
Powdered Sugar or Icing Sugar - 1 cup

(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)


Preheat oven to 200 degree C. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.

Take butter, 1/4 cup powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl and cream really really well.

Now add in salt and mix well.

Add in nuts and mix well.

Add in flour and mix well.

Take small portion and roll it into a ball. Arrange on baking tray.

Bake for 10 to 12 mins.

Now remove it from oven and roll them in powdered sugar. You can double roll them in sugar as the cookies cool down.

Now store in air tight container.

Take butter in a bowl

add powdered sugar

add vanilla

add salt

cream really really well

add chopped cashews or any nuts as you prefer

mix well

add flour

mix well

take a small portion

roll it into ball

arrange on a baking pan

bake till done

take some icing sugar in a bowl

when the cookies are still warm, roll in sugar

roll them really well

you can double roll them in sugar as well
