    Barbeque Chicken Recipe

Couple weeks back i posted pictures about our grilling night in facebook. I got so many request to post the barbeque chicken recipe from my viewers. So here i am with the post.We set up a traditional barbeque using bricks and woods..It was so fun we totally enjoyed the day. I used my own twist on the barbeque, i added so many indian spices and made my own barbeque sauce too..Try it and let me know how it turned out.

    About this Recipe

Barbecue chicken is made up of barbecued, grilled, or smoked chicken parts or entire chickens . There are numerous global and regional cooking styles and preparation techniques. Barbecue chicken is frequently seasoned with a spice rub, barbecue sauce, or both. Marinades are also used to tenderise and flavour meat.

Rotisserie chicken has grown in popularity and prominence in grocery stores across the United States. One of the most popular barbecue dishes in the world is grilled chicken.

Why is it called a barbecue?

The term barbecue comes from the Taino language of a Caribbean Indian tribe. Barbacoa is their word for grilling on a raised wooden grate. According to Planet Barbecue, the term first appeared in print in a Spanish explorers account of the West Indies in 1526.

    Where did BBQ originate from?

The origins of the American BBQ tradition can be traced back to the blending of many cultural food traditions, including African and Caribbean. Slow-cooking meat over sticks and saplings was a common activity among indigenous Americans and Caribbeans in its early days.

    Ingredients for Barbeque Chicken

    Chicken :
All you need for barbecue chicken is a grill and some sauce to slather on the meat while it cooks. The main issue with grilling poultry is that it becomes dry and loses its natural flavour. To avoid this issue, boil the chicken before grilling it.

    Garam Masala Powder:
The whole spices in the Garam Masala blend have already been toasted before being ground. As a result, it is not necessary to cook it. If the garam masala is added too soon, it will become overcooked and lose its flavour. Garam masala aromatics require only a small amount of heat to release their aroma and flavours.

    Butter :

During the final stages of grilling, many people like to brush butter on their meats or vegetables. Brushing butter onto a thick steak can help to intensify the flavour of the crust.

    Tips & Tricks

    1. You can make the chicken in oven too.
    2. Preheat the oven to 200 Degree C / 400 Degree F. Place the marinated chicken in a foiled lined tray and cook for 30 mins, now flip the chicken and cook for 30 more mins.
    3. Now drain the excess juice from the tray.
    4. Now turn the oven to  250 Degree C / 500 Degree F. Brush the chicken with barbeque sauce and cook for 20 more mins. Flip the chicken over and brush with some more barbeque sauce and grill for 20 more mins.
