Chicken 65 Recipe – How to Make Restaurant Style Chicken 65

Chicken 65 is my favourite. I made it quite a different ways and posted it here. Check out my spicy chicken 65 and my crispy chicken 65 recipe.

This is a simple recipe that can be made marinated for upto 2 days. The longer it marinates the best it taste.
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 5 mins
Marinating Time : Overnight
Cooking Time : 5 to 7 mins
Serves : 5 to 6

Ingredients:

Chicken – 1 kg boneless cut into small pieces
Chilli Powder – 2 tblspn
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tblspn
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tblspn
Lemon Juice or Vinegar – 1 tblspn or to taste
Salt to taste
Thick Unsour Curd / Yogurt – 1/2 cup
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu – 1/4 cup
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1/4 cup
Corn Flour / Corn Starch – 1/4 cup
Oil for Deep Frying

Method:

Mix all the ingredients except oil and all the three flour. Leave it to marinate overnight.

Now take the chicken out of fridge a hour before frying so it comes to room temp. 

Add in rice flour, maida and cornflour. Mix well.

Drop in hot oil and fry till golden. It will take around 7 to 10 mins depending on the size of the chicken.

Drain it and serve hot with some fried curry leaves and lemon wedges

Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients
Take chopped chicken in a bowl
add in little salt
add in ginger garlic paste
add in lemon juice or vinegar
mix well
now add in curd
add in chilli powder, turmeric and garam masala powder
mix well..Leave this to marinate for 30 mins or overnight
now take it out
add in maida, cornflour and rice flour
mix well
heat oil for deep frying
drop the chicken in
fry till golden
Serve

Garnish with some fried curry leaves

    I love cooking, I love eating foods no oils and also know some local food. These peppers sound fantastic and I’m intrigued by the airfryer.
    With one air fryer, I can easily and quickly cook every dish I like:
    All fried foods, food warehouses, including sauces. That’s great.

    Looks very tasty indeed ! Do you think if we boiled the chicken in the pressure cooker for 1 or 2 whistles first it would be quicker to fry ? I've noticed that sometimes the chicken doesn't get cooked properly inside .

      yes u can, cook the chicken first and then fry too. but since this is small pieces it will be cooked and be so juicy. start by frying the chicken in hot oil, then lower the heat and cook till chicken is done
