Jam French Toast Recipe

I adore french toast. They are my all time favourite, sweet or savoury both are my favourite.  This is a special french toast which can be served on any special day. This jam french toast with strawberries makes any day special.

You can use any of your favourite jam in this, I used store bought mixed fruit jam. but homemade jams would be perfect too..I would suggest you to allow the bread soak up the custard really well and also fry the french toast on a low to medium heat till it is cooked in the inside as well as outside. These are the tricks to make the perfect french toast.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 5 mins
Makes : 2 french toast


Ingredients:

Bread Slices – 4
Mixed Fruit Jam – as needed
Egg – 1
Milk – 2 tblspn
Sugar – 1 tblspn
Cardamom Powder / Vanilla Essence – 1/2 tsp
Oil or Butter for pan frying


Method:

Take egg, milk, sugar and cardamom powder in a bowl and mix well.

Spread some jam over the bread in a thin layer, sandwich with another bread.

Dip this in the egg mix and coat on both sides.

Heat some butter or oil in a pan, place the eggy bread in it and fry till golden on both sides.

Remove and serve with some fruits.


Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients
Crack open a egg in a bowl
Add some sugar
Add in some cardamom powder..You can use vanilla
Add in some milk
Whisk this well
Take your bread slices
I used mixed fruit jam, you can use any of your fav jam
squeeze it out
use a butter knife to spread it out
spread in a thin layer
sandwich them
dip it in the egg mix
coat on both sides and let them soak the custard
Mean while heat some butter or oil
place the bread in
cook on low heat till it is golden brown..
Remove it to a plate
Cut it into wedges and serve

    Wow thanks dear ….my baby lkes jam alot but in winter season if she eats jam sure cold wl cum…… its really a grt idea ….. thanks alot da lke u sooooo much
