Tawa Mushroom Recipe with step by step pictures. This is a semi dry dish that is cooked with lots of onions and paired with wonderful mushrooms.

I can never stop buying mushrooms, i love them so much. I buy them whenever i see them in the veg market and try new dishes out of it. All the recipes which i have made using mushrooms turned out so good. It has a tendency to give a nice taste to dishes where we add mushrooms.

Ingredients for Tawa Mushroom
- Mushrooms - 200 grams chopped
- Onion - 1 large sliced thinly
- Capsicum - 1.5 cup chopped (I used green, yellow and red)
- Salt to taste
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
- Oil - 1 tablespoon + 1 tsp
- Unsour Thick Curd / Greek Yogurt - 3 tbsp
For grinding:
- Cashews - 10
- Poppy Seeds / Kasa Kasa /Khus Kush - 2 tbsp

This is one recipe which i made today, this is pretty simple to make and can be paired with roti, naan or rice. It needs a handful of ingredients and a masala kind of dish..The creaminess of the dish comes from the ground cashews and khus khus, the actual recipe calls for cashews and badam as well, but i skipped badam and reduced the cashew level and added little more poppy seeds. It turned out pretty good. I also made quick crispy salt and pepper broccoli too. Will share it in the coming week.

How to Make Tawa Mushroom
- Soak cashews and poppy seeds in warm water for 10 mins.
- Heat 1 tblspn oil in a pan, add in onions and fry till golden, remove this to a blender.
- Drain the cashew poppy seed mix and add it to the blender, add very little water and make it into a fine paste.
- Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan, add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
- Add in capsicum and saute for a min.
- Then add in the ground masala and cook for 2 more mins.
- Add in salt, chilli and turmeric powder, mix.
- Add in well beaten curd and mix well.
- Now to this add in the mushroom and toss well in the masala.
- Cook this for 6 to 8 mins or untill the mushroom is done.
- Serve with rice or roti.
