Easy Potato Curry Recipe / Aloo Tamatar Recipe

I make potato curry a handred different ways. I never do the same curry twice, i always try to do something new. This is one of the simplest curry you will ever make, i am telling you it is so easy because i always have few boiled potatoes in my fridge. So i can whip up this curry in a matter of minutes.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Serves : 4

Ingredients:
Oil or Ghee – 2 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 tsp
Potatoes – 4 medium size boiled
Tomato – 2 large pureed
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
Chilli Powder – 2 tsp 
Coriander Powder . Malli Podi – 1 tblspn
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Kasuri Methi Leaves – 1.5 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Method:
Break potatoes roughly. Set aside.
Heat oil or ghee in a kadai. Add in cumin and let it sizzle.
Add in tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell leaves from this.
Add in all spice powders and cook till oil separates.
Now add in water, salt, and sugar. bring it to boil. Once it boils, add in potatoes and simmer for 2 mins.
Now add in kasuri methi leaves and mix well.
Serve.

Take all your ingredients

boil some potatoes, peel em

break them roughly
heat ghee or oil in a kadai

add in cumin seeds

pureed tomatoes

mix well

add in ginger garlic paste

cook them till raw smell leaves away

add in the spice powders

mix well

cook till oil separates

pour in water

add some salt

and some sugar

mix well

bring this to a boil

add in boiled potatoes

mix well

simmer for 2 mins

add in kasuri methi leaves

stir well

serve

    Yesterday I tried this,it tastes awsome,in last I just add onion n leamon to it some of curry tht tastes like chat ….. ty so much for d recipe….
