    Homemade Desiccated Coconut Recipe with step by step pictures. This is made with Fresh coconut which are dried under sun or oven to create this coconut.

    Desiccated coconut or dried coconut comes in handy for many deserts. It is easily available in all super market, but for some people it may be hard to get. whenever i share a recipe using that i get lots of mail, where can i get it. So here i am sharing a homemade recipe for desiccated coconut. it is far more easier and quicker than you might think.

    Ingredients for Desiccated Coconut

    • Fresh coconut - 3 cups grated

    How to make Desiccated Coconut

    1. Preheat oven to 100 degree C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
    2. Take coconut in a blender and pulse few times so it gets fine and even.
    3. Now spread this in the baking tray and pop it in oven for 20 to 25 mins.
    4. Stir it in between. It should get completely dry, if it still has moisture, pop it back in oven for 5 mins or so.
    5. Now remove it and let it cool completely.
    6. Store in a air tight container in fridge.

    take it in a blender
    pulse few times so it gets fine
    spoon this in a parchment lined baking tray
    spread evenly
    bake 
    remove it inbetween and stir well
    now it is completely dry
    cool it down and store it in a air tight container in fridge
