I am here with another Onam recipe…
This is a quick gravy if you are in a hurry…This hardly took me few minutes to make..So this recipe falls in my section “Curry in a Hurry” easily…
Morkulambu is a very mild gravy so you need some heavy sidedish to go along with it…My Puli Inchi Dish will be perfect with this…If you didn’t check it till now..Please do it by clicking here..

I have few more onam recipes to post…I have some yummy Keralan Potato Fry,Keralan Rasam and Vendaikai Kichadi…Will post it in the coming days so wait for it…
I hope you all liked this gravy..Please give it a try and let me know what you think…
Ingrediants:
Buttermilk / Mor-1 cup
Coconut-1/2 cup
Coriander seeds / Malli-1 tblspn
Cumin seeds / Jeerakam-1 tsp
Green chilli-1
Mustard seeds / Kaduku-1 tsp
Turmeric powder / Manjal podi-1 tsp
Curry leaves-1 spring
Coconut oil-2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Method:
Grind coconut, green chilli, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder till smooth by adding some water..
Pour buttermilk in a kadai and heat the kadai..Don’t pour buttermilk in hot kadai they will curdle and split in to water and milk solids….Pour in the ground paste and mix well.
Season with salt and mix well..Let it simmer for 3 mins..Don’t let it boil over..
Now make seasoning by heating Coconut oil..Now crackle some mustard seeds and curry leaves..
Pour this over the gravy and mix well..
Serve hot with rice..
Pictorial:
Take all your ingrediants
Take coconut,green chilli,cumin seeds,turmeric,coriander seeds in a blender
make it into a fine paste
heat buttermilk in a cold pan…
add the ground paste in this…
season with salt…
let it come to a boil…
make seasoning by heating coconut oil, mustard and curry leaves…
Pour this over the curry
Serve…
have some rice with this…
